Who We Are

TourLyst ("we", "our", or "us") is a travel audio guide application developed by Antonio Morade. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Email address — when you create an account or reset your password
Password — stored securely and encrypted, never visible to us

Location Data

We collect your device's location while using the app to:

Show your position on the map
Detect when you approach a landmark and trigger audio guides
Track your progress along walking itineraries

Location is only collected while the app is in use (foreground). We do not collect location data in the background unless you explicitly enable it.

Usage Data

Cities and sites you visit within the app
Audio guides you play
Itineraries you complete
Favorites and wishlists you save

Advertising Data

TourLyst displays ads to free users via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. You will be asked for permission to track your activity across apps (App Tracking Transparency) — you can decline and still use the app with non-personalized ads.

To send password reset emails (only when requested)

To track your progress, XP, and completed itineraries

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a GDPR-compliant backend provider. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

Audio files are cached locally on your device. You can clear this data by deleting and reinstalling the app.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

Supabase — database and authentication
Google AdMob — advertising (free users only)
Resend — email delivery for authentication

Your Rights

Access the data we hold about you
Request deletion of your account and data
Opt out of personalized advertising
Withdraw location permission at any time via iOS Settings

Children's Privacy

TourLyst is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
